Realising that education is broader than the giving of information and that some people learn best by doing or experience, the department offers the opportunity for people to develop their creative talents.   

Painting days and short painting courses are organised.  The short courses are at two levels – beginners and improvers – and usually take place at the centre on a Saturday afternoon.  The days are for mixed ability and take place at various venues.  A new course will begin in the spring.  (Dates to be advised.)  This is for those wishing to explore the use of watercolours.  It will take place at the Hallam Pastoral Centre.  Cost £6 (both sessions).
