Who is eligible?

  • Those appointed by their Bishops to have overall responsibility for youth work in the Diocese
  • Diocesan Youth Officers
  • Full-time Youth workers with responsibility for more than one Deanery or appointed by the Diocese
  • Full-time Deanery Workers
  • Other members appointed by the Diocesan Team
  • Heads of National Catholic Youth Organisations
  • Full-time Regional or Diocesan Workers of National Catholic Organisations
  • Those with a full-time youth work brief with National Catholic Organisations
  • Directors and those with full-time management responsibilities in Catholic Residential Centres, Diocesan or otherwise
  • Officers of Catholic Youth Services (CYS)
  • Youth Workers in Scotland who meet any of the above criteria may be eligible for membership at the discretion of the Steering group.
  • Membership may be offered to any other individual who does not fall into the above criteria but whom the Steering Group feel would benefit from membership of the Association.
  • Membership is by annual subscription, from September to August. Fees are currently £30.00 for the first member of a Diocese or Organisation and £20.00 for each additional member thereafter.
  • Membership is not transferable and individual enquiries are considered at each meeting of the Steering Group.
